Terms of Use
Masterki Terms of Use
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Masterki iOS, Android, and macOS apps, the website at masterki.org, the Masterki backend, and the optional AI app connector. By using Masterki you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Masterki is a general-audience learning app and is suitable for users aged 13 and older. If you are under the age required to agree to these terms where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you.
The service
Masterki helps you create and review flashcards, including text, images, drawings, audio, AI-generated drafts and media, web image search, review, and optional app blocking. Cards, decks, media, and review history stay on your device in a local Anki-compatible collection. If you connect AnkiWeb, sync runs between your device and AnkiWeb, not through Masterki's servers.
Features can change, and some depend on your plan, your device, and third-party services. We may suspend or stop a feature when we need to for security, reliability, or legal reasons.
Accounts
You can use Masterki as a guest, or sign in with Apple, Google, or email through Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete Account, or from the account deletion page.
Your content
You keep ownership of the card text, images, audio, and other material you create. You give Masterki permission to process the material you submit only as needed to provide the feature you asked for, such as generating a draft, an image, or speech, searching for an image, or holding cards in your inbox until your app saves them.
You are responsible for the material you submit. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful.
AI features
AI drafts, images, audio, search results, and chat replies are produced with third-party providers and can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. Review cards before you rely on them. Masterki does not guarantee that generated material is accurate.
AI app connector
You can optionally connect an AI app, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok, so that app can save new flashcards to your Masterki inbox. The connector does not read your existing decks or your conversation. Cards wait on Masterki's servers only until your app downloads and saves them.
You sign the AI app in with a pairing code from Masterki, or with your Masterki email and password. You can disconnect it at any time under Settings → Connect Masterki to AI apps. Disconnecting revokes that app's access.
Subscriptions
Masterki has a free plan and optional paid plans, Plus and Max. Paid plans are sold by Apple (App Store) on iOS and macOS, and by Google (Google Play) on Android. The store charges you, handles renewal, and is where you cancel or request a refund. A trial, if the store offers one, converts to a paid plan unless you cancel before it ends.
Prices on this website are estimates. The App Store or Google Play shows the price you will actually be charged. Store purchases are also subject to that store's terms. We do not receive your card number.
Paid plans raise allowances and unlock keeping AI images and audio on cards. They are digital services for use inside Masterki. We do not sell subscriptions inside ChatGPT or other AI apps.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Masterki. That includes trying to break or probe the service, bypass quotas or access controls, interfere with other people, scrape the service in a way that degrades it, or use it to distribute unlawful content. We may suspend access that breaks these terms.
Our rights
Masterki, the apps, the website, and the Masterki name and logo are ours. These terms do not give you any right in them beyond using the service. Anki and AnkiWeb are separate products with their own terms.
Disclaimers and liability
Masterki is a study tool. It is not professional, medical, or legal advice. The service is provided as available. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of cards stored only on your device. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. If you keep using Masterki after an update, the updated terms apply.
